It was caused mostly by stressed fault lines in Central America , which is south of this part of Texas. It was one of the worst migraines I've had in months, the kind that feels like the flu without the fever.
Then, I got about a week without any migraines other than the mild, short duration type. it seemed I spent the entire week catching up on everything that didn't get done the weeks before. Just when I thought maybe the earth would not shake badly for a while, it started again.
Foul damned headache! After another lost week with a horrible left sided migraine with neck and shoulder pain, the 6.8 Guatemala quake shook so hard that the P-waves could be felt from here in Texas.
While this long round of migraines was happening, not much got done around here.
Rather than posting up, the thought of turning the computer on was almost unthinkable.

Tonight, symptoms tell me that Central America may be about to rock again. Be sure and click the link above for more information.

Take care all.

3 7.+ Mag Quakes

That awful left sided migraine that made my head feel like it was breaking was the symptom of three quakes over 7. mag. First the right side for 3 days, followed by about 12 hours pain free. These were caused by rather strong activity near the Gulf of Mexico, and Mexico south.
As the earthquakes moved back to stress points in the Pacific Rim, the migraine kicked back up on the left. Usually this side is a little easier to put up with, but this round was cause for spending time in a dark room, and no noise.
But of course, not even that is really quiet. It only makes those high frequency electrical noises louder.

I hope all of you who check in here are having a good day. Hopefully, we'll get a run of days with no major quake of volcanic activity.
The intensity of my left sided migraine was not a match for the moderate activity recorded in the Pacific. Expect heavier quakes to come.
The crust could use a lube job.

Nasty Migraine, Coming Quakes

This migraine that started on Wednesday with some burred vision, vertigo, and general achiness became a full fledged right sided migraine this afternoon. It started Monday, early, and has gotten progessively worse. It has driven me to ice packs every once in a while.
Thione is right sided, a little ear ringing, pain in around the eyes.

This one hit right before I had to represent myself in court. And, this wasn't small claims.
As I was about to start, the little nagging pain turned into blurred vision, and I couldn't read the carefully planned questions for the witnesses. Within a half hour, those waves of whatever it is blanked out my train of thought. There I was with this well planned attack, and I could barely stand there.
More, oh yes. I decided it was time to take the stand. And, that brain wave thing happened again. I had no idea where to start.

Actually, I proved every point. Witnesses admitted things that should have brought the win to my table. Expert proved what he came to prove.

All they had were insults, and innuendo.

The judge ruled their favor. I don't see how that could have happened. If it weren't for this headache, I would have shredded them. Enough of the truth came out anyway, that the ruling makes no sense.
This one isn't over.

Has Your Migraine Kicked In Yet ?

If you are having a migraine that's starting to interfere with your daily activities, be sure there are tens of millions suffering with you. It is likely caused by activity intensifing in Alaska, South America, and the western part of the Pacific Rim.
Cllick on the title link to see the updates at FUTUREQUAKE.

For me, this started early with my eye lashes bothering me. Does anyone else out there get this symptom ? It usually signals a nasty migraine. This one has gotten worse as the day progressed. It started with my eyelashes, then left eye, and ear.
Now, it's pretty much throbbing on that side, and the neck pain is starting.
For a couple of days I had hopes for a really good week. You know, little migraines at the worst. But, I should know better , right ?

Everyone, grab your favorite pillow, & hope it doesn't get so bad that a pillow is painful too. This sounds awful, I know. It's that level of pain that slightly throbs through the pain meds.
It started very mild, and tonight it has gone to moderate. It started Thursday, after a couple of hours of mild pain on the right side.
The left side of my neck is feeling the twinges, and that is really annoying. A little muscle pain ointment helps with that, if you get this symptom.
This migraine, and hopefully yours, shouldn't get much worse, with a peak tomorrow evening.

If you have migraines, then you know that while these mild to moderate type impair your function somewhat, most people only see what looks like worry, and lack of sleep on your face. Or, maybe they notice you having a hard time reading, the migraine blur.
If you are like me, this is the level of migraine that those around us rarely notice. My mother always asked, which I appreciated. But if no one sees you take a pain pill, they don't know you aren't feeling well.

If you haven't noticed, try putting the ball of your foot down slightly ahead of the heel, and distribute the footstep. It can help minimize a mild headache, and make walking across a room with a bad one less likely to intensify the pounding.

Have a good weekend. Be sure and pin the Guest Map with your country location, and post up.

Do you have a left-sided migraine ?

Since Thursday, I've had one of those annoying migraines that's just bad enough that meds are needed every few hours, and the symptoms are a little over the top of the pain in my left eye, jaw, and behind the ear. A little twinge on the left side of my head every once in a while seems to be correlated to the Alaska activity, in the 4.magnitude range.

Alaskan activity has been known to precede stronger activity in Southern California. Southern Californians should be checking your earthquake packs.
Make sure you have extra migraine meds on hand, and that the exp.date is still good.

Other areas on the planet are starting to shake and quake, and do contribute to the twinges you are feeling.
If these quakes get any stronger, you may experience a little migraine vertigo.

This should effect the next 48 hours. If the quakes rotate as usual, expect a day in between, before your headache and symptoms go to the right side.

So Much For Hoping for a Week Without a Migraine

Be sure and take a look at the link to a great migraine website. http://www.migraines.org/treatment/treatmis.htm
http://www.migraines.org/
This one has links to information about misconceptions about migraines, and those of us who suffer from them. If you have ever lost a job because your eyes looked bad, or you had dark circles, and you had these symptoms frequently, this website offers information those on your jobs, and those close to you who lack understanding can use to better understand you.

What was I thinking ? At 5 AM, here it came again. Left side, ear ringing, eye throbbing, headbanging migraine. I guess the western Pacific is rocking and rolling again. with the upset stomach I had earlier, there must be a volcano out there rumbling. Nothing new about that.
I wish I had a cork to shove in the crater. If there was enough silicone Dap on the planet, I could seal up the earthquake fault lines. Maybe that would work.
Silly me. Some idiot with a bomb arsenal would start dropping them, like when Isreal and Lebanon were bombing the earth during the summer.
Or some despot in North Korea would blow up a nuke underground, setting off the Hawaiin Islands again. That caused about two weeks worth of excruciating head pain for me, because of the quakes it caused.
When the war with Iraq started, I was sick for the first three months. I know many of you experienced the same, or similar.
My migraines are combined with Basilar headaches, which usually have root in head, neck injuries. I was so glad, because I had to represent myself in court on Thursday.
Ahh, but of course, by the time I got to court the right side of my head and face, with the ear ringing, blurry vision with stomata was in full force. Migraineurs typically wouldn't lift a finger to start a fight on a good day, and certainly not when my head, my brain is not in a mood to think.
The previous week, with my head & face pounding on the right side, I had to call the court clerk, ask a couple of important questions. And, of course, by the time I was supposed to call back, my headache had reached peak, meds kicking in, and the exhaustion caused me to fall asleep, missing the time I was supposed to call.

Every time I was in court, I had horrible migraines, due to quake activity, and didn't complain once. They didn't know that I could barely see straight.
Sad, but true, that even in this day and age, people without chronic pain, without migraines, still belittle those of us who hurt, hurt terribly, and often, due to heredity, usually on the maternal side. Even educated, otherwise good people, make fun of someone who says they have a migraine.
It isn't funny. It isn't an excuse. In fact, in can be life threatening. I watched my grandmother's migraines sucking the energy out of her.
For me, after 55 years of feeling like someone is pounding a hammer across one side of my head and face, or the other, in the same place, with every heartbeat, 4 or 5 days out of every week, I am exhausted. The day after , the exhaustion and stomach pain from the meds is like having the 24 hour flu.
And then the next round of bombings, or earthquakes start the migraine cycle all over again.
I don't have to tell any of you with severe and frequent migraines this, but what the hell. Maybe you'll feel better knowing you aren't alone with your pain, and the depression it causes.

Okay, now that I have ranted, I feel better, I think. There is a point here.
I'm one of those with severe and frequent migraines, with facial neuralgia, ear pain, eye pain, and sometimes the roots of my hair hurts, and so do my eyelashes.
75% of the time I also have neck, upper back, and should pain.
If it's volcanic, add in stomach upsets.
Then, like most migraineurs, the hours or day in between migraines, is nothing but filled with the exhaustion of enduring days of pain.

The sad fact is , most of us have relatives who relish in our pain. It's a chance to take advantage of us. It's a chance to make us appear to be full of excuses. I saw my grandmother go through it, and now it's me.
If we are lucky, our parents know and understand, or maybe a relative who has suffered this lifelong pain.
If you are in this situation, with relatives, especially siblings , who's behavior towards you seems a little off, it probably is. Watch you backs. Make a mental note of it.

Tonight, Sunday, is headache free. I praying for a week or two like this. If I could have that, they wouldn't want to face me in court.

Have a good week all !

Post up your 'This Happened When I Had A Migraine" rant. Get it out of your system. If people around you take your chronic, lifelong pain lightly, treat you with sarcasm, you will have to be the one who is understanding of their lack of compassion, and education on the subject of genetic disabilities, chronic pain, the damage it does to you, the lesions it puts on your brain.
Seems like it should be the other way around, but it isn't.
so, rant to heart's content. You'll feel better, really.

Quakes Coming - Migraine Already Here

If you have a migraine that started sometime this morning, and has gotten worse through the day, you are in good company. You should have relief by tomorrow night.
For me, this one comes with upper back pain, and pain behind the eye, with aching above my teeth. This is an annoying migraine. the blurred vision started late last night, at the computer. I hoped it wasn't the telltale sign of a migraine coming on, but the damn thing woke me early.
As you may have noticed, mix your pain meds with your favorite coffee, and the stomach ache will distract you from the migraine.
Hehehe, really, just a little humor, migraine humor.
If I had to feel yucky, then at least it was one of those lovely rainy days at home. Those in flooded areas, probably wouldn't agree with that one, but for anyone who could stay in, what a wonderful day for the first log in the fireplace.

I think a cup of hot chocolate is in my very near future. That, and when this migraine is gone, a big batch of real Texas homemade chili with all the fixings.

Now, go play in the rain !

Feeling Good, Really !

I've not posted for a couple of months, and it isn't because there haven't been some nasty migraines. But, there have been only a few bad ones since September.
I don't know how anyone out there is tonight, but I'm migraine free at the moment,
and have been all day.
For a couple of weeks now, the twinges have been few, mild, and of short duration.
This time of year tends to be a little better, probably because it is seismically quieter.

Of note: Several months ago, I advanced the theory that many children's earaches were actually migraines, with or without tinitus. I also discussed at a forum that thinktanks some interesting and varied subjects, for other opinions.
The reasons why figuring this out is important is pain relief for the littlest migrainuers, and, that it can drastically reduce the frequency and amount of antibiotics that children are being dosed with.
This in turn, will make antibiotics more effective when necessary.

A small study has now been done, according to a CBS news report. A group of children with frequent earaches, who were usually treated with antibiotics with limited effectiveness, became test subjects.
Half the children were given pain medication. The other half of the children were given antibiotics.
Those given pain medication needed the meds a few days longer, but had better and faster relief.
The half on antibiotics were relieved of the earache symptoms faster, but without the same level of pain relief.

Caribbean & Mediterranean Quake Effects

Today is almost migraine free. It was a good day for other things.
Sunday and Monday were perfectly horriblus. The right side migraine came on fast, with eye, nose, and ear pain. Ice was the greatest relief with these symptoms. It was so bad that I spent a day in a dark room with my head shoved into a pillow.
As I hurt too bad to turn the computer on, no alerts went up. The now gone migraine was a strange one, with skull pain in unusual places. After checking the eq map , these symptoms were caused by a combination of Caribbean & Mediterranean quakes. I hope the region settles down soon.

It's time for steak and potatoes, with all the fixings.

Take care, y'all.

New Migraine Articles & Information

This is interesting and pertinent new information.
Zapping The Pain.
Migraineurs Have Higher Sex Drive.

Thursday was one of those good days, with only a short duration, mild migraine. Nothing to keep me from my day.
Today, however, is a little different. What I'm experiencing is a very strange migraine, a little leftsided head pain, followed by ear pain, and left jaw. There has been a large earthquake in Mexico City, and this may be part of the cause.
The quake must have stressed another area across the Pacific, or the 5.9 quake was a foreshock. I'll let you know on that one.

Have a good weekend.

8.8.06 FUTUREQUAKE Updates

Click the link to FUTUREQUAKE for seismic updates.

Gulf of Mexico, and storm watchers, Click Here to watch the Gulf churn. It has gotten worse as the day progresses. No facial pain with one, so I am thankful for that.
This feels like it is associated with coming activity along the South American coastline, with possible quakes in the far south near Antactica.

Hopefully these quakes will come soon, and all who are suffering through this one will get relief. I expect this activity to come tonight and tomorrow.

If you are a resident of the Gulf of Mexico region, something is churing across Southern Florida and Cuba. Frequently, sand bars and rifts under the sea can be disturbed by storm waves, and collapse. This creates a typed of earthquake, usually small, and you may experience short duration migraines with these. If it's just a quick twinge, you might want to hold off the meds for a few minutes, and see if that's the only symptom you have.
With incoming storms, or a churning Gulf, the barometric pressure can drop. As this happens migraineurs can experience severe headaches, until the pressure rises & stabalizes. I haven't found anything that touches this kind of migraine with any real relief. Deep, and steady breathing, and walking lite on your feet, does help a bit.

Take it easy on yourselves. If you take over the counter meds, they can be really hard on the stomach with a bad migraine that requires frequent dosing. Make sure you get something on your stomach, and drink plenty of fluids after taking meds, to keep your stomach from getting raw.

It's Been a Good Few Days, How About You?

It's been a few good days. There have been the usual quakes around the planet, but the migraines have been mild, and of short duration. What I mean by short duration is that the sypmtoms were controlled and finished off with half a dose, and the symptoms didn't return.
I've a few quakes teeth, and one of them is zinging me ocassionally. It seems to be associated with the activity that has occurred in the Caribbean, and Northern South America. Quakes can be caused on the sea bottom when large storms move the undersea dunes around, which may account for the minor activity.
The west coastal areas, just inland in Argentina have been rocking, but the effect on my migraines has been minor. Hope the same holds true for most of you.
If you pick up on your symptoms, and they match any quake activity, post up here.
Also, go to Godlikeproductions.com, a forum where you can register, or post as an anonymous coward, and start or find a thread about quakes, and your symptoms. There are many worldwide who will share & compare their symptoms with you, including those in the field of seismology. There are many other topics there, from the interesting, to the current, to the strange.
The more of us to compare with, the more seriously the medical profession, and the seismic community will take it all.
There are many other topics there, from the interesting, to the current, to the strange.

Have a good weekend, all.

A Hard Weekend for Migraines

First I want to thank Kate in Thailand for her commment on a previous post. It's great that others with these headaches and symptoms are able to detect seismic activity, and at least have some idea of what is causing the migraines, and have some idea of expected duration.
It is likely that most people are more sensitive to the regions, continents on which they live. But it is beginning to look like most of us are getting our quake migraines on the same sides, similar symptoms, no matter where on the planet we are.
The ear ringing, and pressure are also reported almost always. We're on to something, folks.

Last weekend, Mt. St. Helen's did some rumbling. This right sided migraine, with facial pain, and tooth pain, kicked in Friday night, after a short break in the migraine from the left side that was Monday through last Thursday.

It let up at 4 AM Friday, and I had to represent myself in court, bringing a lawsuit, at 10 AM. It wasn't fun. I'm no attorney, and to try this with a migraine, or the migraine exhaustion hangover thing, is not anything I would recommend. Lawyer's are not in the budget, so I am praying that the next time, I will be headache free. Actually, a good lawyer, cheap, is the better option. I don't think they work that cheaply, though.

Anyway, when it went to Mt.St.Helen's pain, nothing touched it. Nothing but ice gave any real relief. Laying my head on a sheet of ice might have worked, but I made do with ice cubes. Mt. St. Helen's makes me sick, literally.

NOTE: Gulf of Mexico residents. This is one of those times when something else can affect your migraines. The closer the storm gets, and the larger, the lower the air pressure in the storm, or hurricane, gets. This can cause migraines that feel like a cold coming on. A hot, steamy, shower can offer some temporary relief.

If you are a Gulf Coast resident, watch the Gulf, as there is a storm coming in.
Get your meds up to date, and check your storm supplies, just in case you need them.
I have a list of supplies at FUTUREQUAKE, click the weather & emergency pack link for the list. Add to it things that bring you comfort away from home.
If you think your structure may be at risk, be sure you grab your software. Make a copy of your hard drive, pictures, music, writings. Easier to carry than photo albums, and music collections. Pictures are easily preserved on software.

Make Sure You Have your Migraine meds !

It's been a rough few days. From the 21st until the 24th, migraines on the left side were 'kicking my butt'. Ear ringing was included with this one.
The quake activity causing it included areas of the Caribbean, South and Central Americas.

Tonight, I've had some hard twinges , right side , upper jaw & teeth. This feels like volcanic activity, probably US West Coast, with Mt. St.Helen's being the likely volcano about to blow.
Also, as the migraine then came on strong, right side, within an hour of that, all of the US West Coast should be on the alert. Expect a round of quakes from moderate to strong in the next couple of days.

Don't forget to make sure you have enough migraine meds so that if you require a pillow and a dark room for a couple of days, you won't have to head for the store for refills.

MIgraine Intense Today

This migraine that started last night has intensified today. It's one of those that includes some facial pain. I hope anyone else with the same today can take it easy on themselves, because this one is likely to get a little worse through tonight.

This indicates intensifying quake activity along the US West Coast states, and along the Alaskan coastal areas. There has also been activity occurring in swarms slightly inland, including Utah, and Idaho. Watch the active volcanic regions for activity. Something is rumbling under there.
The South American coastal states, and Central America will have more activity as well, within the next 24 hours. This will include volcanic activity.

Migraine, Ear Ringing, and Seismic Activity, Discussion Link

GLP Forum Discussion Link on Migraines, Ear ringing, and other symptoms occuring preceding and with seismic activity. http://www.godlikeproductions.com/bbs/message.php?messageid=265560&showdate=7/20/06&display=30&page=4#4691242

"It's seismic activity. If you are sensitive to it, quakes or volcanoes anywhere on the planet could be affecting you. Because so many people have the same symptoms at the same time, it points to being most sensitive to the region or fault line with the most stress at the time.

The ear ringing should get more intense, and higher in pitch until right as the quake happens, or volcano. Volcano ringing seems to include a very low pitch, and increasingly high at the same time.

I also get twinges and aching in my gums, and sinuses. I have noticed that with some areas, like SanFranciso, it can be intense.

If you are getting the migraine, tooth, and stomach upsets at about the same time , with low and high pitch ear ringing, be sure it's a volcano.

Anywhere through the center of the US, slighlty east of center, is probably being affected by activity along the New Madrid fault line.

http://visz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/usa_alert.php?lang=eng & http://visz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/woalert.php?lang=eng , are both good links to current activity of all kinds.
It makes it easier to track what is causing your symptoms. Pay attention to sore spots on your skull, and keep track of where the quake happens. It's a trip really. Our heads are like a map of the planet.

I have a blog about this, and keep it as up to date as I can. the link is at the bottom of the post.
**** PEACE ****
Texas Uncensored
[link to www.futurequake.bravehost.com]
[link to www.migraineonlinehotline.bravehost.com]
[link to www.futurequake.blogspot.com]
[link to www.earthquakemigraines.blogspot.com]

Right Sided Migraine , Probably West Coast activity

I am having a migraine, with achiness in my gums, on the upper right side. It's only a small migraine right now. A one excedrin kind of thing.

For those in areas near the Middle East crisis, bombing may be affecting your migraines. There have been a few migraines that lasted hours, and one that lasted almost two days, but it wasn't the 'head on the pillow ' kind.
Volcanic activity has amounted to a couple a stomach aches of short duration.

Right now, I am having a left sided mild, annoying, migraine with a little neck and shoulder pain, and my back needs a massage. That usually signals mid-Pacific activity. the neck and back pain to go with it usually is an indicator of Central and western South American activity.

While I am sending the mess back in the direction of those that made the mess to begin with, I might not post up as often as the migraines and seismic activity occur.
I'll make every effort to post up as often as I can.

Thanks y'all.

It's a Migraine Day, or Two

I expect major activity in the north western Pacific in the next day or two. If you are having a nasty migraine that is kicking your ___ since this afternoon, watch the activity in this part of the world.
This migraine came on slowly today, and is now getting bad. Left side of my head, with upper jaw, sinus, and eye pain.
Depending on what part of the world you are in, you may be having your migraine on the right side.
If you pay close attention to your symptoms, and watch the EQ maps as quakes occur and various migraine symptoms become intense, and then disappear, you will begin to 'map ' your head and face pain with locations of quakes as they occur.

There are links to EQ sites with current maps in this blog's links section.

Mild, Intermittent Migraines This Week

There has been moderate EQ and volcanic activity worldwide, in the usual places.
The migraines to go along with it have been that annoying variety that zing a little just long enough for the Excedrin to kick in, and disappear. A little tummy problem for a an hour or so yesterday, with volcanic activity, but no big thing there.

These haven't been bad enough to keep me from anything. Not enough of a pain in the head and neck to complain out loud about. In terms of migraines, a pretty good week so far.

If you get the chance, surf a few of my links, such as FUTUREQUAKE, and take a look at the cool SOHO pic at the FUTUREQUAKE Blog.

The link to SYZYGY, JIm Berkland's website, is worth taking a look at, and if you will click his forum link, he too, is now researching the correlation between migraines, stomach pain, ear ringing, and seismic activity.
We got into some pretty good discussions at the GLP Forum, and after about a year, he became a believer.

The RSOE Havaria website is a worldwide alert system, and incident map. Two volcanoes had intense activity in the Ring of Fire area. Indonesia's Mt. Merapi was more active, and the Bulusan Volcano in the Philippines is belching hot steam and ash.
So, if your stomach is a little funky today, it probably isn't what you ate. But there are a couple of volcanoes in need of 'the pink stuff'.

You may have a mild, to annoying migraine on the left, and a little upper back jaw, and aneye throb to go along with it. The western Pacific, as well as Alaska, western S. America, and a few other hot spots in and around the Pacific are shaking a bit. Okay, more than a little.

If you got that eye jerk thing on the right side early this afternoon, it's a warning that the West Coast of the US could be looking at some clusters in the next few days. I'll update on that as needed.

Don't let your annoying headache get to you today. It's shouldn't get too bad, unless you live in the Pacific Rim area, Ring of Fire area.

Now, as the day goes by , I'll see if this ache in my shoulders and neck has to do with spending way too much time at the computer, or earthquakes in Central & N. South America. The worst is on the left side, so those predicted quakes in Western S. America are a pretty sure thing.

Really, I don't spend all day thinking about migraines, and rarely talk about it. Most migraineurs at pretty good at hiding it, except on their worst days. But, if posting this up fairly often is of help to any of you, or lets you know that tens of millions of people on the planet feel just like you today, then that is a little moral support you can use.

If you are under doctor's care, maybe it will help begin a dialogue of discovery that will help you get what you really need, and help your doctor better understand the profile of your migraines.
If you take over the counter, go easy. These quakes are happening in areas where there is a lot of activity, and will be for a while. Take care of your stomachs.

In the meantime, listen to music that makes you get up and do something. Walk softly, & try some stretching to unkink those muscles. Think of it this way. In your own way, migraines make you part of the early warning system of the planet.

Surf on over to FUTUREQUAKE, and the Blog if you are looking for something to do, like you don't have enough to do. haha I'm attempting to make Futurequake a little more user friendly, so things are being moved around a bit.

If you want to try to match you migraines, and twinges with current siesmic activity, surf to RSOE Havaria.

Y'all have a good day.

It was an Excedrin Kind of Day

It wasn't a bad day, but one of those where that annoying, but not intense, kind of migraines hit. It started this afternoon, and it was a 1/2 dose kind of thing. I was hoping it was one of those short duration kind. But no, within a few hours it was worth taking 2.
Where the migraine pain & symptoms were, and still are ever so slightly, usually signal that there is coming activity in the Mid Pacific, and some US West Coast & W. South American shaking about to go on. If the headache is any indication, these won't be large quakes, but could go to 5.+ .

For anyone camparing, this was left sided, with little ache uppper & lower back jaws, including the same in front of the top of my ear. It includes the eye throbbing, but it isn't bad.

As soon as I can grab a volcanic report, it would be no surprise to find that a volcano in those parts has blown it's stack today, or is about to. If you felt like you'd been across the border today, watch for another volcanic event in the Pacific Ring of Fire soon.

That's all for now, folks.

How's your head ?

Thursday was a pretty good day. Only a little mild migraine, just a couple of hours of annoyance, and a couple of short duration twinges later. Hopefully, today will be as good or better.
I'm not predicting any major activity today, although there is always siesmic activity of some sort. There were a few moderate to strong quakes today, mostly of the ocean variety. These are harder to pinpoint, and they don't affect my migraines as much as those on land. The ocean probably absorbs some of the shock. I haven't really looked into that aspect, but have noticed a regularity of lighter migraines with ocean quakes.

Have a good day, all. Post up if the urge strikes.

If you are looking for more on being sensitive to siesmic activity, be sure and see this siesmologist's website. SYZYGY. The relentless migraines have switched from one side to the other and back again, with a few jolts to a nerve in my eyes, and upper teeth.

The predicted round and locations of earthquakes turned out to be right on, so if it makes any of you fellow migraineurs feel better, you can predict siesmic activity with those nasty headaches, if you can get your heads off the pillows long enough to record it. If you can begin to notice where your head hurts, what part of your face, notice where the quakes are, and what quake matches the relief of that pain.

It may not relieve your after-migraine depression, but at least you know that your migraines are not your fault. Really though, I'd be happy to give up siesmic prediction if I could get rid of the migraines.

Feel free to post up.

Migraine Today, Preceding Coming Siesmic Activity

Are You Siesmically Challenged, and don't know it ? ?

I just posted an earthquake alert at my FUTUREQUAKE.Blogspot. With most large quakes, or continental US quakes, my signal for the alert are the foul migraines that I get. I noticed that quakes in different locations cause migraines on one side or the other, as well as other symptoms, like tooth pain, sinus pain, nerve twitches in the eyes, painful spots on my head. It feels like a simulation of what the globe is doing. Sometimes, like today, my hair or eyelashes hurt.
With volcanic activity, throw in some stomach upsets, and back pain. There was a bit of that today too, so Merapi must be blowing again.

Migraine symptoms with this coming activity are varied. All is right sided pain. I am experiencing high pitched ringing in my right ear, pain in my upper jaw with tooth twinges, throbbing in my right eye with twinges in the nerves, elelashes hurt, head pain, with a sore area on the middle right side of my head above my ear. Not good. Not comfortable at all.

If you are experiencing anything like this, post up your migraine symptoms. Have you noticed any of these things ? Are you near a siesmically active area ?

I'll be adding a world map where you can pin the part of the planet you are on. Be sure and check back for that.

Also, see the Migraine Online Hotline for more migraine information and links to important imformation.

For more EQ and volcano information, and much more, surf on over to FUTUREQUAKE.

WELCOME

Welcome to the blog that ties migraines and other physical symptoms to earthquakes and volcanoes. Please post up your comments, and your experiences with this phenomena.
I started researching this in 1989, when the World Series Earthquake in Oakland/San Francisco occurred. As the stadium started rocking, my very nasty migraine and tooth pain completely disappeared. That was October 17th, 1989.
Since that time, close to 90% of those I have queried, had their migraines and symptoms preceding earthquakes. Sometimes, shoulder and back pain is associated with siesmic activity. It doesn't seem to matter if you live on a fault line, or thousands of miles away, those sensitive to quakes and volcanoes still have migraine pain.
With volcanic activity, sudden upset stomachs, or heartburn can precede the activity.

Can we talk ?
